Request: Update Status

Let me start by saying I greatly appreciate the work you have put into the V series of plugins, especially the auto update. Now for my concern, I don't really use any combat macro, but do have VTank installed mainly to use as a heal bot when i dual boot on some clan quests. Therefore, the majority of the time I do not even have it turned on in Decal. The problem comes when the auto updater kicks in and updates VTank; when it updates VTank turns the plugin on within Decal. Since this occurs during login, the only way to turn it off is to log out, turn it off and then turn it back on. Would there be a "simple" fix to have the updater return the status of the plugin back to the pre-update stats when a plugin is updated? This is a minor inconvenience, but a frustrating one at that.

Thanks again.

Yeah, I was going to do that at one point. Maybe I'll get around to it soon

Is there a way to turn off follow around corners when outside?

I usually have some alt chars follow my main around out on DI. All is well and good until I die (it happens!). As I'm frantically running back to try to rejoin my leaderless group, they all want to run back to every place that they have seen that I was at...usually they like to take the shortest path there which is often through 1 or more groups of sleeches it seems like. hehe

Would also love it if follow was priority over fight. My chars are always looking to pick a fight (violent bunch that they are) and I can't lead them out of trouble once they taste blood.

This would also help immensely when inside dungeons as they frequently bump up against walls with monsters on the other side, lock on, and stop following, unable to realize the folly of their ways in trying to shoot bolts and arrows into the wall.

Really? That's quite strange indeed. VI2 doesn't interact much with the client hooks.

This is something that will happen everytime I use it, So If there is anything I can do to help just let me know.

Thanks

It's not just VI2. It happens to plenty of people in my allegiance that don't even use vtank or the bundle. I know, I run two buff bots on MT that are used about 24/7..

Hi Mr. A,
This will happen 100% of the time using Inquisitor. Now if others are having the same thing happen without it ,can they get it to do it when they want? If so lets see if we can find the root problem.

It doesn't happen 100% of the time for me. In fact, I haven't run inquisitor for about two weeks, and it still happens at least twice a day.

Suggestion:

With the new tailoring system, I've been hunting very specific armor pieces (easy to setup in Vtank) but also looking for very specific colour shades - which I have been using DCS to help discern. Wondering if the attribute for colour can be identified by the vtank ID tool and whether an option could be added in the search\loot criteria for colour?

Thanks

It can indeed be added, and I have already done some work on it in anticipation of this patch

Hey VI. I have a quick question. How much trouble would it be to add something to Vtank that would enable us to configure looting in game on the fly? That way people could drop alinco and just use your great tools? With the rare looting problems that come from the two working together, im scared im gonna miss one of these uber armor rares/weapons. I rarely leave the computer when im macroing, but I do admit to watching tv while sitting here.

Love everything you have done with your plugin and can't wait to see what improvements you have in store for it.

EDTIT: VI, something that Machineofmorningthaw posted up there caught my attention. When the macro tries to shoot at something on the other side of a wall that it can't get to, couldn't you have vtank look for a war spell/melee attack damage/resist/evade message, and if it doesn't see one after say 2 or 3 attempts, abort the attack and continue on? Maybe put that critter on a short do not attack list or something to that effect? Just a suggestion. Think an old macro I used to use had this feature built in it. May have been warbot if I remember correctly.

Oh yeah, since i've typed out a short novel for you, i'll throw this out and ask again. Any change of heart on slowing looting down just a tad, or adding a user configurable timer, say 2-4 seconds?

Ok, done now. Thank you VI.

Hey I seem to be having a problem with Vtank. It had been working perfect for months but just this week it started giving me this msg "[VTank] Exception "Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component." And shuts itself off. If I uncheck Enable Buffing it works fine. But i really need it to buff, lol. Anything I could do? I already tried to uninstall and reinstall but I had to do it manually since there is no uninstall feature. I would appreciate any help anyone could give me, thanks.
