Virindi Tank plugin now available: a combat macro designed for ACM players
Cast on strike is working greats !... one little suggestion though if possible, with UA you don't have to go to peace mode to change weapons. If that's possible to code it would make killing a bit faster and less hits when you melee drop in peace mode.
Otherwise it's going great with the updates.
Thanks again

Dirty_Elf posted: If I upgrade to the new virindi tank (by running the installer again?) will I still be able to use my "classic" vtank loot profiles?
I'm sure this was mentioned before I just forgot
all of these new functions will work even though I don't use vviews right?
Yes and yes.

You have to also extract the dll file that comes in the installer zip to the same directory as the installer.

The bundle version of VTank has just been updated to 0.3.1.4. This version features support for the use of 2handed weapons as well as casting the 2hand and gearcraft buffs

My current theory is for the non-bundle version to be the 'heavily tested' one since most people who use it download it and then almost never update it. On the other hand, the bundle version has an attached automatic updater and thus it is okay for me to immediately make new releases, because if there turns out to be a problem everyone will have a fixed version as soon as I fix it.
Basically:
-If you want the latest features, run the bundle version.
-If you want something you don't have to update, or something that is much less likely to ever have a problem, use the non-bundle version.
Note that if you want to avoid using the other bundle-included things, all you have to do is uncheck them in Decal after you install the bundle.

yeah i did that bundle and only kept checked vtank. Not sure i like the separate docking for Vtank plugin, makes it harder to find in a hurry based on color of scenery. also ended up with a folder v tank and vtank. and needed to copy all the profiles from the old (vtank) to the new (v tank) folder.
ANY ways, the reason i'm here now is to plead, beg or bribe for consideration of a change to vtank current methdology of linking listed items to use on monster x , y or z via those listed in the items tab.
Granted the system DOES work fine, UNTIL an event like the recent db compaction and all the guids are re done.
NOW all items have to be readded, and then EACH profile again updated.
HOW about a seperate tab for like a data dictionary xref where the weapons entered on the items tab are then entered into a listing, then the monsters use the 1, 2 or a, b listing from the xref chart.
that way IF all the guids change one merely needs re enter all your weapons go to the xref and make sure once again the bludge is one/a flame is two/b ect. and all the monster profiles then work. as it is now, you hve to bring up every profile , re add every weapon , then go to each monster and change the weapon.
sure not bad if you have only one or two profiles, try 10 or 20 then try SEVERAL accounts of toons. you can begin to see it's a nightmare updating a ton of profiles. and a whole lot of clicking/changes.
hey it's a thought, and i know you have so much free time and nothing to do (ok that is major, ney epic scarasm) so it should be an easy assignment to fix

You can uncheck Virindi View Service if you want it to show up in the normal Decal bar. However, using VVS for views gives a huge advantage in framerates. Try running all of the bundle plugins in VVS, check your framerate, then turn off VVS and see what the framerate is with them in the Decal bar. The difference should be on the order of 20-50%. Decal views are just that slow.

The problem with this is complexity. In theory, I want configuration of VTank to be as automatic as possible; the user should only rarely have to set a weapon manually. Currently the cases where you would, in my mind, fall into two categories:
1) Using CS/CB/AR on bosses with a lot of hp
2) Characters with more than one attack skill who have multiple of the same rend weapon, such as a slash rend bow and a slash rend dagger
Also, in situation 2, things can be greatly simplified by correctly setting the ORDER of weapons in the list (the one lower in the list will be the one used).
Situation 1 is what I would be more likely to think about simplifying. For instance, I could make an AR/CS/CB damagetype, or have it select AR/CS/CB when a monster is set to be vulned, or both. The problem is that this would introduce significant added complexity to the auto weapon algorithm, which is already rather complex. Auto damage currently takes into account a number of 'corner' cases which could otherwise cause problems, such as chars without war trained carrying rended wands. Changing it would be a bit of a chore.
Bottom line, tagging each weapon seems too user-unfriendly for VTank. I am open to better ways of doing things 'automatically', though (obviously with simple, easy to understand methods of manually overriding it).
