I did a complete uninstall and install of everything. My export is nearly identical with yours, Haz. (except the computer and video specs)

A question - When I ran Cleandecalreg, it said "Key not found". Does that matter?

another one that can't get 2.9.6.5 to work


win xp, decal and decal hotkeys only.


There are still ALOT of entries in registry referencing 2.9.6.0 after uninstalling old (and new) and running regcleaner !


No wonder windows gets icky after awhile. This one is about there anyway so going to start zapping them but there are dozens, possibly multiple installs previously to see if it does anything


Only diference i see in export is i don't have all the c++ libraries

doesn't seem like the stray registry entries did it

separate question:

do all plugins that works in 2.9.6.0 still work in the newer version

I use a lot of legacy plugins, and they did not 'break' after upgrading. I'd hazard a guess that if a particular plugin still functioned after the big patch, it will still function under the new Decal. Likewise, the new Decal will not 'fix' broken plugins.

so, no ideas why some of us can't get 2.9.6.5 to work?


I just uninstalled .5 and installed .0 and it seems to work fine. Just loading decal and hotkeys atm. But it let me log in and shows decal bar.


Someone complained no one wanted to work with dev but i haven't seen any suggestions yet...

And shojimbo volunteered to help, so soon we will hopefully have some more data after I remote into his PC. I have to figure out how to register pdbs with windbg though, usually I debug on a machine after building on it but that isn't possible in this scenario.

In answer to Joxer's question .. I'm 20 to 25 Decal Plugins running on each of my main boxes. I may have miss something, but nothing has broken for me. Theres been a few things of late that have cause me to upgrade as a requirement. Figured that had to happen sooner or later.
