Apparently you need a third party program or similar because how in the hell am I supposed to figure out coordinates in this game when there is no built in functionality?

So I get a quest and it says "go to X.xx, Y.yy" and do such and such. Well, like, where in the world is that? Could you at least say, its like outside of CityZ or such? How am I IN GAME without add ons supposed to know about where these coordinates are?

What am I missing? Did they add some feature in the last six years to make coordinate locating easier?

I believe coords are under the radar by default now. If not, you can enable it in the options.

Yeah they let you display coords in the game in the user interface about 5-6 years ago now?

The coordinates under the radar tell me nothing much about where my contract wants me to go. Sometimes if your lucky you get to talk to a nearby NPC who simply gives me some lore and them I am off to the new coordinates. Its the new coordinates that I have a problem with. They could have at least told us through the contracts where the nearest city is or such. I cannot use the game map to find those coordinates as it only shows where I am.

Sev gave me a nice hyperbole loaded reply on their official forums. I guess I should not have expected more. He even did the ever famous designer reply of "we don't want to be like that other game (dumbed down/etc)" to which I can only reply, well if your aiming to not have the success of that other game, DAMN YOUR DOING IT PERFECTLY!

Then yes you need an addon to do that.

Um, you can't guesstimate where on the map the coordinates would be relative to your current position? How do you ever find your corpse? Slow crowd indeed......

You do realize that the map is set up so that the top, bottom, and sides are 100.0N, S, E, and W, and any coordinate within those can be eyeballed, yes>?

LOL - Sev banned one of my accounts from the forums, their hubris lives on. So damn intent on not being compared to a successful game they will purposely leave out player friendly features. No wonder why a premier title in their hands had to become free to play to maintain a decent player base.
