Option 1 or 2 not 3.
Option 1 or 3 not 2.
Option 2 but not 1 or 3.
Option 2 or 1 not 3.
Option 2 or 3 not 1.
Option 3 but not 1 or 2.
Option 3 or 1 not 2.
Option 3 or 2 not 1.

Your simplicity makes the pole worthless.
It's as sev said, they don't want polls because they want discussion.
Your pole exclusive. The pole need to be inclusive.

No they weren't, you just didn't realize it, and now won't admit it. If he had put the poll up as you wrote it there would have been no way whatsoever how to determine who voted based on preference, because if that was actually your intent (which it wasn't), you worded it so ambiguously that it was worthless for your supposed purpose.
BTW pole = something strippers use
Poll is the word you were looking for.

1. The poll is not created for Sevs. Or Turbines use or data collection. So it does not matter what they want.
2. I have encouraged people to take part in the discussion and share their thoughts and opinions on Turbine boards.
and I assure you my "pole" is anything but exclusive lol

I am not trolling.
This is exactly why sev doesn't want pools on the turbine forum.
If I were to cast a vote given the current options available, it would bias one option more than I want to, and thus I simply cannot cast a vote given the current selection.
Your poll does not take into account those who are ok with multiple options, or only 2 of the 3 options, etc.. therefor it IS exclusive, not inclusive.
