just get the smoke/carbon monoxide hybrid detectors ya noobs.. they're only like 10 bucks more each.

the only problem about a pellet stove from what I've heard is that they have a fan which requires electric, so if the power goes out, they are very ineffective.
That's hearsay, so take it for what it's worth.

i had accidentally left the air intake at the lowest setting and my burn pot got clogged and nasty black smoke started building up in the stove...the exhaust fan took care of it pretty well though.

Same with my parent's stove, even when they had a computer malfunction that caused too many pellets to drop at once on the first lighting.

loved it after the first night
went through 2 bags in a 24 hour period
not crazy about that I guess
though it was in the teens last night
