if the company may last a few more years and you can take the captain seat, it would be a wise investment for your crenditals later on. the stress, etc. would pay for itself. just make sure that you cover your *** so when you jump ship, it wasnt your fault for hitting the iceberg

Actually -- even if it was your fault -- the experience is still valid. This is your big chance to make the big jump -- if you dont take it you will always wonder what if you did....
