Not sure what to do...../Dear ACF blog

So I don't know how to handle this situation. I've had a crush on this girl for almost 10 years. We really connected when I was younger(went camping with my sister and her husband/friends. This girl was there and at night we stayed up and had this amazing conversation. Shes amazing.) but it didn't turn into anything because she's 4 years older than me.
We didn't stay in touch over the years, but I always wanted to try and date her if the occasion arouse and timing was right.
Well last night while out for new years I saw her at the bar. Talked to her for like 45 minutes. It was awesome. I grabbed her number and we talked for a while today via text.
The thing is, now, she's friends with my ex wife because they work together and she's one of my sisters really good friend. I heard through my sister that she's not really looking for a relationship, but we've had something between us for so long that I want to ask her out. Or should I just try and be friends with her?

She asks about me when my sister and ex talk to her I heard. And that camping trip was brought up by her to my sister just a few months ago. But you're right, I hope, but don't know for sure.

That's the plan, but idk if I should try texting back and forth for a few days before. Usually I just ask girls out if I like them, but with this girl its different. I actually care if she says no.
