+1 vote for the iPad. It's just the nature of the industry. The iPad is going to have accessibility to most products/apps and will probably be the easiest to use.

an e-reader would be decent on your eyes. otherwise you might as well just read it on your monitor as it will be the same experience.

Only reason I would like a tablet is because I want to be able to read some of my texts at work while on break and complete some assignments.

if you want a tablet tablet, the samsung galaxy tab 10.1 is pretty sick. and the asus transformer prime is supposedly coming out soon.

I'm pretty happy with my Nook Tablet. There are apps that let you take care of email and create documents and spreadsheets compatible with Windows applications. Reading is good and I love watching video on it. The picture is super crisp.

The Prime has been on a limited release so far and all reviews have been pretty impressive.
But Asus is horrible at launching them, as they are no longer for sale anywhere after being on sale everywhere (online only) just over a week ago lol.

 really? gg asus. my sister brought her ipad down this weekend and i wasn't impressed with it. that has nothing to do with my dislike of apple either. i think because i'm so used to android that it's more natural for me and thus, i prefer it.
