My virus SOP is to reinstall windows. It works and rarely does your system work entirely the same with just a virus removal.

was it doing redirects etc to sites you weren't trying to surf to or search for? if so that sounds like the typical tdss rootkit. that usually requires a specifically targeted program to remove completely, i think kaspersky had a decent one free to download. if what you use to remove it doesn't get it all it simply reinstalls itself on your next reboot.

It keeps coming back!!! Gonna just nuke the entire computer damnit. Who would of thunk I got this crap while shopping for a surge protector? I mean, I look at really sick porn and other stuff and never get infected, but shop for a damn surge protector and my computer is ruined.

Nuke the entire site from orbit--it's the only way to be sure
delete, reformat and reinstall
