You folks are making this too complicated, so let me just rephrase it again.
It comes down to you killing the person yourself or them being tortured very slowly by other people until they die. You don't get to watch them die unless you do it yourself. If you don't know the person then you will not be given a chance to know them. You don't know WHY they will be tortured and killed. You have no other information to go on.
Your only choice to make then is killing them yourself or allowing them to suffer a slow and painful death.
Do I get my choice of how to kill them?

Whatever the method, it cannot be anything other than a mostly painless and preferably quick death. A bullet to the head, decapitation, poison pills, overdose of painkillers, etc.

I'll be honest; I'd kill someone just for the heck of it.
But, to answer your actual question: yes. I would kill someone to end their suffering, unless I was the one doing the torturing.

What's the dilemma then? Yeah I'd kill them. Guns and poison are relatively easy ways to kill someone.

no, because if you piss off a torturer you're likely to end up on his table

The dilemma would be whether you would feel ok with being the one to kill someone to allow them to avoid a much worse fate. Is killing someone in this context a "good thing" as fare as you are concerned?
Not everyone would answer yes or now. For many I'd imagine it would be an "impossible" decision to make.

I won't do your moral philosophy homework for you.
But yeah, probably not unless I had some motivation that they deserved a quick death.
