Civ 1 was a fun game -- as was the original simcity for the time when it came out.

It is not too far a stretch to say that outnumbered 1,000,000 to ~5,000 (assume each unit has approximately 1,000 men), that modern units could fall to trained warriors with simple weapons. As far as realism goes there were many things worse than this..
