The top right corner is straight white, while an inch across the top of the screen is about 100 white horizontal lines. still works. but holy hell am i mad right now

Wow that sucks. I dropped my droid x from about chest height onto concrete and it was perfectly fine.

This thing is in a protective case too
It appears that it's just the LCD that is broken, the glass isn't cracked and what not...that's not too bad is it?

Alright just looking online, and not talking to the person that bought the phone, Her service providers website lists this phone as having a 1 year warranty...think that covers a cracked LCD?

only if she/it had the optional insurance, otherwise, you are SOL
drop the $50 and head to a 3rd party repair shop, it'll be cheaper and faster than going to your cell provider for same repairs

why can't phones work like a computer, i buy my own phone put whatever os i want on it, then pay a phone company for service. i don't understand why these phone companies need to have power over what i can do or put on my phone
maybe if the majority of cell users paid full price for their cell phones then you would see more freedom
but most cellphones purchases/upgrades are heavily subsidized by the provider, this is why they have 2 year contracts.

I have a cool bar scan app on my iphone (free)
It's great if you're in a store, and don't know how much something costs.. it searches on line and gives you a list of different stores in the area and what they charge. So you can see what it costs at the store you're at, and if it's cheaper somewhere else.
