he's saying I shouldnt have an opinion because of my sexual preference. My sexual preference has nothing to do with my opinion on this. If anything it makes me a neutral party since I can more objectively see how the oversexualization of women leads to situations like I described since I dont inherently have an attraction to women.

over sexualization in the media or society is not the real issue, its the catch all excuse the general public likes to use. this type of behavior is often the physical manifestation of psychological/mental development issues, which more and likely arises from childhood events, whether physically or emotionally or both.

lol its not a catch all excuse...why do you think large companies spend billions of dollars a year on advertising? To poke the image that they want us to see into our faces as many times possible 24/7.(99% of it being straight females I might add) That kind of overstimulation has to eventually have some kind of (negative)effect. Have you ever watched a burger commercial and then instantly wanted a burger from that joint? That kind of overstimulation/sexualization of women sends a wrong message. It tells the young men of today that this is how a women should look and if she doesnt look like this she is a disappointment. It tells young women of today that this is how a woman should look and if they dont look like this they're a disappointment. If youre not a size 0 or 2 you are considered a "fattie." That cant be good on ANYONE'S self esteem, much less someone who is still developing their sense of self and trying to be happy with the body they have(much like this girl in the article). Someone needs to send the message that you dont have to strip down to your underwear to get people to like and notice you. People should like and notice you for the person that you are and not because of how much clothes you are willing to take off in a high school photo.

Now granted someone who has had psychological/mental development issues early in life would be more susceptible to such things, that I can agree with you on. But even on an average to well developed young person the message we allow them to see is going to have lasting repercussions for generations to come.

The whole "you don't have a right to an opinion based on your sexual beliefs, religion, race, age, political affiliation, education, social status, income.... ect" really pisses me off. What can I say?

blah blah blah its called the lack of parenting.

the average child spends 3.5 hours in front of a tv and another 3 hours on the internet daily.
out of that number 65% of those children are unsupervised for over 5 hours of that time.
85% of these children have access to their own in room private cable and internet connection.

you can blame society, the culture, the media all you want, it still falls back to parenting.

No I challenged his credibility on a subject because of his life choices.

I dont see what the problem with that is?

It happens all the time in life.

While I agree bad parenting plays a huge role in that(like the mom in this case) it doesnt absolve society's duty to be decent human beings either. There is enough blame to go around. If the parents were more involved in their child's life and knew what they were taking in then oversexualization wouldnt be a problem. On the same hand if in society oversexualization wasnt taking place in the first place by society the parent wouldnt have to keep such a close eye on what their kid(s) are viewing. Its pretty much a chicken/egg question. The only problem is BOTH sides are failing to do what they need to do in most cases like this. I say kudos to that year book committee and for the school system for backing them up that rejected her photos. At least they stood up for some decency where even her PARENT wouldnt.

The mother's name is Miki Spies?

Really?

Can someone please confirm for me that the mother is definitely a porn star? Because she really should be, with that name.

Could also be her stripper or callgirl name.
