If a friend needs a PC built, i will do it and lock it down tight, then tell them if they screw it up, SOL is what they are.

Its even worse when they start calling you because someone at their work or a friend of their's needs help with their computer. I started charging a fee... Its usually 30/hr if they bring me the computer, which is still cheaper than geek squad.

I wish I had grout! But good plan, unfortunately he'd think that his scrubbing powers were worth the same amount of time as my tech powers.
My ex and I once worked for a guy that thought he could pay us for just the time we were actively doing stuff on his computers, that the time we sat there and waited for installed and updates was our own time.
