Why I hate building computers for family and friends....

When you built it, you should have defaulted them to Firefox and automatic updates for add on's like Noscript. And installed MS Essentials. You could have saved yourself some hassle. But yeah, building computers for friends and family can be a nightmare when they are idiots.

I did firefox and auto updates, I told him to download the virus software after everything updated.... but he was too excited to play Tanks!

Well he enjoys it, we got some swag from PAX last summer with a code for special tanks. I think he's outgrown those now, but they were kinda cool for a while I guess, and gave an advantage.

edit: also how does someone who went to a computer specific tech school not know how to operate a computer?

We only build PC's for our parents anymore. Everyone else we tell to go to Best Buy for PC's and support. We don't have time for the support.
