Must be a British thing. How odd. I've never seen hats for eggs.

If you make yourself two boiled eggs for breakfast, you can use it to keep the other one warm while you eat the first. Or you can just keep your one egg warm while you eat the rest of your breakfast or whatever, depends on what you're having for breakfast, when you eat it etc.
And yes, they are a British thing.

Im getting a hat lesson tomorrow, so soon i will be able to make hats. I assume its similar to the egg cozy, just on a larger scale.
