You really need to read some basic principles of law some time. It is your type of populist rational that leads to the downfall of a republic (civil society based on law).
You don't have to like what he did or vote for him but your mob type mentality is ultimately very self destructive.

I guess these lawmakers think they can buy a bunch of $20 pee testers from the local drug store and call it good.
They have no idea all the steps required to keep a drug test valid, so that it upholds in a court of law.
I know I had piss checking as a collateral duty in the navy..

would you get fired if you were convicted of a DUI? i would understand if your job consisted of a bus driver or something along that lines..but should not lose his job like most if convicted of a DUI.
in regards to welfare...amen to random drug testing, my tax dollars should not fund someone that can afford drugs.

I would loose my job if I got a DUI. My boss once told me if something like that happens on a weekend don't bother coming in to work on Monday. I don't even drive a vehicle for a living.

We give welfare because people need it, not because they "deserve" it. Being a complete drug addict would need more help, not less.
What this gentleman did was completely irrelevant to this question. Some government jobs can be lost due to some types of convictions; for example, my wife works at the DMV and if she were to get her license suspended, she would lose her job, even though her job does not require any type of driving. (They contract out the road tests.) It's considered untoward in her position. IF and ONLY IF they have this type of law in Georgia should this man face any discipline from his job at all, and that would be entirely separate from his voting record.
