I knocked the snow brake clean off one of them on a wild crash... nuts! I'm feel like someone beat me with a stick

A friend of mine did that once coming off of Ball Hooter at Snowshoe. The ski kept going and missed a ski patrol guy by inches before it hit a tree and shattered.

A) I'm fine, just one hell of a bruise on my right leg
B) It was such a wild wipe out that it took me 5 minutes just to collect all the various pieces of gear (skis, goggles, ski poles, one snow brake)

I had one of those hip falls once, ice on the trail. Big ugly ow and bruise.
