Woman gets raped. Two things go through her mind. Justice and revenge.
She couldn't get justice because Ben is rich as hell and has good lawyers.
So she got revenge.
Not that it matters to him.
From the article she asked for 400k which is about what he makes in 2-3 games.

see.. if he did it, then he should be in jail. if he didn't, then this shouldn't have even come up at all. rape is a criminal offense, and belongs in criminal court. it should not be handled in civil court.

It ends up in both to address different charges and accusations. Civil court has a lower burden of proof. There was not enough evidence to convict him of committing a crime but there was enough to show damages...

He should have sued her.
He wasn't convicted of rape, meaning that in the eyes of the law he is innocent, but his public image is forever damaged.
