Regardless of which stats you pick to compare, it's pointless to disregard the NFL rule changes when comparing "historic" to "modern" QB's (and players in general). Taking the rules into account, you'd have to increase the #'s on past QB's who weren't coddled/wrapped in a protective bubble by the league. You also have to factor in that DB's hands' (shoulders, heads, etc) weren't tied when it came to brutal hits on the receivers. Add tuck rules and other such nonsense and the picture keeps getting muddier.

If Brady wins the super bowl next week that should make him number 1 all time. Joe Montana should be 2
How you figure that? Montana won four, and was perfect in the big game. Brady has choked in the Super Bowl, tying Montana's wins does not surpass him. That is like saying Bill Russell should be ranked as greater than Michael Jordan.
Brady can never be better than Montana even if he manages to win 5. He choked.

If Montana and Marino were playing with today's rules the records they had set would be completely untouchable.

Emmitt Smith was a product of one of the best O-lines ever. Vastly over rated, not even in top 5 for RBs
he leads the NFL in career rushing yards and TD's. Yeah, he is a top 5 all time.

2 Barry Sanders
3 Walter Payton
4 Eric Dickerson

he might of won four but getting to the superbowl should count for something too. brady lost a superbowl but he still got their 5 times.

All the top 10 lists of QBs in this thread are borked, as they neglect Troy Aikman.

Troy Aikman might not even make a top 40 list.

Not only is Aikman one of the best QBs ever, he's also the best color commentator of all time.
