Several reasons:
1) Because Hollywood recently recognized his efforts, and being a darling of Hollywood gives him additional latitude with the rest of the MSM.
2) Because the MSM is heavily liberally and Democrat biased and because the "REPUBLICAN led house ordered his arrest" - never mind that he did not bother to obtain the proper credentials - the REPUBLICANS ARE CURTAILING FREE SPEECH!!!!1!1!!1111ONEELEVENELEVENTYELEVENONE!
3) And finally, bearing in mind 1 and 2: because it's an election year.
