My main basically doesn't change (martyr/xbow), except that he'll be specing Sneak Attack and his DPS will be equal to bow. Which is kind of cool. Anytime my freight train can deal more damage, I'm all for it. The fact that my FireR Undeadslayer 191% +16 +20%md Major BT Xbow (among my other near/perfect xbows) will still be uber makes me happy.
Then there's my alt.....
Void/UA. All of his weapons will be less than perfect, even the ones with Epic BT. Not that big of a deal with those transfer gems....I guess. His template basically stays the same with very minor changes. He'll still mostly be UA but will also have to use some other one handed quest weapons. Pretty meh but whatever.
I'm at least going to see how it all works out and decide from there. Besides, I've been hoarding MFK's and Mhoire Treasury keys like crazy, never know what I'm going to pull.

i quit playing lotro because it got boring too...I played AC from 2000 to 2010 with like 2 years off in there in different short segments. and lotro I lasted a year and a half before I got bored...in that time, I never added a single person to my friend's list on Lotro.

AC doesn't really bring in any new customers and this change is likely to push some of the old customers out who either can't or don't want to adapt the changes so while I like that they're shaking things up I can't imagine that it is good for the number of subscriptions. After 12 years people are so invested in the current system that any big changes are going to spark a backlash. Some people have multiple accounts with multiple main characters they don't want to readjust all their skills and items. I only have 3 main characters on one account and none of them are 1 hand melee so honestly the the patch is going to be only beneficial for me as far as I can tell.

At first I was really pissed off about it. But then I realized all it's really doing is making it so melee toons can use a larger variety of weapons. Realistically if you were really good with a sword you'd probably be really good with a mace too. However!!! If it ain't broke, don't effing fix it. This isn't going to bring in new people, it will just distant the current customer base. So I have no idea WTF they are thinking...
I will be resubbing in February though because of the playable lugian. They did a great job with the playable tumerok race and I came back for that one for a couple months.

Been playing that game since retail. Took a break for a few years came back game was better then ever. The feb change sort of took the wind out of my sails and have had no desire to even log in since then. Not sure to thank Turbine or curse them at this point. I'm about 99 percent sure I will quit once feb patch has happened.
Its not that I dont think it wouldnt work its just to generic. To Bland for me. Not to mention 12 years later the devs are still trying to balance a game on this level instead of making new quest to do and what not.
