ok I just ran all the way from holtburg to cragstone and when I got into town I see a portal that says "portal to town network"

TELL me thats not what I think it is

the portal town network thing is super cool.

I stood around like a moron trying to figure out why I couldn't buy tapers with my trade notes. Then I remembered I had to unstack them, and coulnd't figure out how to do that. The only assistance I have used is a stack of like 10 M notes so my guy could buy a foci and get port recall. Got him to 22 doing those quests in that quest dungeon...Portal House or whatever it is.

Enjoy the boring! Its great starting out again as a noob, but how many times is enough? Then, when you hit the maximum level and cap out, there's really no good end-content. Just more grind. Newer content is absolutely boring and nothing challenging.

yeah but its fun right now and that's all the 13 bucks was meant to do so money well spent. Especially if they are going to change the game drastically.

I did LOL when I set the graphics to "very high" and it had the balls to warn me that I was going to be using the "high-res" texture pack.

I agree. Retro is very chic right now. Hell, look at Minecraft. I am starting to run into some hurdles. Was pretty challenging doing some of those dungeons last night. I mean, I was buffed by a bot, so that wasn't an issue. I mean without www.acmaps.com up and running, navigation was hard. The AC Wiki says stuff like, "Take ramp 6 on the AC Maps map # 'x'", and you're like going wtf. The dungeons that require multiple levers take some time.

I did end up training Item magic so I can at least portal recall. Saved some additional running.

My minor problems have included:

Took over an hour for me to figure out how to split a stack of anything. How embarrassing.

I'd forgotten that trade notes have to be exchanged for pyreals to buy stuff. That is dumb and could be upgraded without a tech change.

No mail. Gah....8 years or so after leaving AC, and still drop muling, sweating bullets someone will steal my l33t gear while I'm logging in and out.

Mini maps or dungeon maps. C'mon turbine...throw up a friggin map of a dungeon already.

I think my swordie is getting high enough sword skill to merit an imbued weapon. Do those still exist? Is an AR still the best for solo play over all weapon? Is it worth the money to begin resubbing my other accounts until I can either off-load an already imbued sword, or enough MMDs to buy one in the market place?

Does the market place still exist?

Also, isn't there some sort of anti-aliasing or something? I cranked all my graphics settings to max and it made my landscape turn grey. No roads...no paths....no grass.....just grey featureless moonscape.
