The problem with the wealth distribution system ( socialism/progressivism) proposed by the UN, is that eventually you run out of other people's money to give to the so called poor.
The so called poor would probably be people in 3rd world countries in Africa,Asia and maybe Latin America. Its one thing to be against this. But lets not pretend those countries are not poor and couldn't use some help. I can see an argument on actually being against the tax based on the principle not our problem or no more taxes. However not even acknowledging the existence of a problem is selfish.

Money does little good when you cannot go out of your house to buy stuff in fear of being killed. giving poor income will not do anything to improve their lives, using the money on supplies and getting it to the people who need it is a better option. that being said this tax would fail to accomplish anything, but make dictatorships and warlords richer.
Aside from that the US strives on the inequality of other nations to get in and take what we want put whoever in charge and exploit the people for work for pennys on the dollar; we've been doing it for centuries. Why on earth would the bureaucratic greedy top elite support such a measure to take that inequality away? they made the IMF to keep a country down, not to help them; just look at the terms the country needs to agree on before they can use it.

Thats not true.
Look if a country lets say has warlords and a government that is recognized as corrupt the U.N could send some peace keeping troops and fund it with the tax. They could do things like monitor elections and the tax could pay for it. Area gets hit with a tsunami the people who should be paying and overseeing the rebuilding efforts shouldn't be local politicians but U.N people.
A good example might be the earthquake in Haiti. The country was destroyed in a blink of an eye. Still devastated by it. The U.n can give tax dollars to rebuild it. The U.S can then say look we gave at the office leave us alone.
