Oh lord, yes it does. Not as bad as Drambuie or B&B, but it's up there....
Barenjager is really like a shot of honey with it making you drunk.

Best mead I've ever had, hands down. The King's Mead is made in the old-style, just honey, water, and yeast. It's fking amazing. Not nearly as sweet as a dessert wine like a late harvest riesling or roussanne, but still packs quite a punch.

I have yet to find one that I enjoy, either too sweet or too dry  Need to find a middle ground one but not willing to fork out more money only to end up with another one I don't like.
However, you just reminded me! Tried Jack Daniels w/honey... my god it's so good! Downside, friend brought it from the states and I can't find it here yet |
