The problem is they will base their offer on your most recent rate of pay. I think that's very wrong but don't know how to fix it.

Now they are taking advantage even more of the tough job environment with bs like this.
But I have to ask, is she a teacher? That would make sense. We do not pay out teachers sh%^!
She is a licensed HS teacher in IL, a licensed HS and MS teacher in IA.
She has two bachelors degrees and a masters.
My stepmother is on the board of directors for this company, and my wife was mostly just humoring her.

my wife was making 18/hour as a pre-school teacher, before I knocked her up with twins.

This is basically a private school for at-risk children.
The job is a youth counseling position, and on top of the crap pay, she'd be responsible for physically restraining these kids if they get unruly...
The bonus is, she wouldn't have to work with the sex offenders or drug abusers! yay!
They have specialists for those kids...lol.

In UT atm...and there is a sign in the restaurant of the hotel I'm staying at...
"The serving staff makes a wage of $2.25/hr. Please tip!"
