As I said the last time when I posted about this...
The people are real.
They all, except for Barry, make or have made their living buying and selling storage lockers.
They buy hundreds of them over the course of the month for anything from $1 to the several thousand$ that you see on TV.
Then they nickel and dime everything out of there in their shops to break even or make money.
Everything televised is fake.
Cool stuff is planted in there to make the show look cool.

^ this. There is no such thing as reality television really. The only exception that I can think of is cops. Pursuits and the cop work (though some display poor officer safety) shown is real.

My mom watches this show, and American Pickers. I like the old guy that usually finds something cool and then has a story about it.
The only "reality" show I've been watching is Gold Rush... damn show is addictive. Last week I was worried that Grandpa was gonna die of his heart attack.

I do like Barry, he's a character.
He always seems to lose money though. I don't see why he doesn't just go to trade shows and antique shops instead.
