Non, you're a little too sensitive I think. I don't even keep up with oil changes on my wife's car. It's her car so her responsibility. She has to be responsible to keep up with the preventive maintenance. The car should be the responsibility of the main operator.
I suppose. But growing up I always took care of most of the small maintenance of all of our vehicles and really didnt think a thing about it. And when something larger had to be fixed I either drove it in myself or called someone to come look at it or called a tow truck to have it towed in extreme circumstances.Besides calling someone stupid for not doing something that you could just as easily do and are used to doing is well stupid

If it was synthetic the car should be fine. Most women want nothing to do with car maintenance. IMO it's the mans job to get it done.

I get my oil changed when I think about it, and I don't "blow through cars". As long as you keep adding oil when it gets low it's fine.

I don't change mine but about once a year...but I also don't drive very often.
I take it to a car dealership around here that does it for $12, plus checking fluids and topping them off if they aren't too low for nothing extra...takes like 20 minutes, and they have a nice waiting room with a big screen tv and vending machines
I used to help my Dad change the oil sometimes in my old truck or his vehicles (he still does his own and my Mom's), but I'd rather just spend $12...can hardly buy the oil for that.
