Soon? I'd say $15 trillion or whatever our debt is now is already beyond repair.

Not at all, for an economy the size of the United States 15 trillion isn't especially bad. Japan has a debt that is almost 200% of their GDP (we are at 110%).. Of course the debt is still increasing at a rate which is unacceptable in the long run.

The Oatmeal Butterscotch paired with a Snickerdoodle
turned my cynical penis into a happy vagina
Then after an Oatmeal Cranberry and Double Chocolate,
it made my new vagina spontaneously sing the Trolololo Song in an elevator.

Austerity wont cure anything. Its a proven fact that budget cutting everything to the bone only leads to a self fullfilling prophecy of going into the s***er faster.

Problem is they are broke because they spent themselves into a hole that they cannot climb out of. The US is going to have the same problem if they don't get spending under control soon.

Stop believing the GOP mantra of no tax increases and take the horse blinders off.
We need to raise our taxes back to pre 2005 levels, before Bush decided it was a good idea to cut taxes in the middle of two wars.

Seeking to reduce taxes and not paying the ones that are owed are two different things. Greeks are notorious tax dodgers, so if people won't pay the taxes they owe, what other alternative is there but to reduce spending?

I spent some time deployed there in the Navy, and I asked why all the unfinished homes and was told that they dont pay taxes on it until the house is completed.
