Likewise. When I was in high school, I had a '67 Chevelle, with a 283 and a 2-speed Powerglide. I'd say I've moved up in the muscle car world(even though it's still an A-Body car. Which is my favorite style.)

My first car had a powerglide. I frikken hate that transmisssion. Not enough gears to keep a car in the powerband. Had it behind a 307. The 307 was supposed to be a very good combination of the 283 and 327. But the powerglide sure ruined that.
