All information indicates that there will be very little public funding. Basically the tax money (sales and property) generated through the complex will be used to pay the debt. There would not be any new taxes except for an increase in property tax in the sodo area due to the arena increasing the value of property there.

If that's true, more power to them. That's how all stadiums/arenas should be built and funded.

Maybe they should fund it by selling stock in the arena to the people of Seattle and let the investors profit from it.

Let's move a team back to Vancouver too, they loved their Grizzlies back in the day. Canada always has great sports fans. Move the crappy Bucks or something, nobody likes that team.
It's totally unfair that Atlanta or Milwaukee gets to have a team they don't even care about or support, when towns like Vancouver or Seattle actually want a team and have a history of supporting it.
I laughed when they took it away from here (Vancouver) because they moved from a larger market to a smaller one. The end result was as predicted, they had strong support for a couple years and then attendance went way worse then it ever was in Vancouver ( and they were a MUCH worse team in Vancouver).
