Which Sport do you consider least a sport |
yeah i have to agree NASCAR is not a sport...more of a game or activity I would call it....when I think of sports I think of something that is VERY physically demanding where you are moving around alot independently.(Ive heard it takes alot of strength to control those cars at that high of a speed that they run at so that might be true but I dont think it compares to the physical activity of say a football or baseball player)

I think golf, it just takes very little athleticism.
Nascar drivers at least have to be in great shape to withstand 200 laps in a 130 degree car. Takes a lot of physical and mental endurance.

I'm not a big fan of Nascar but I give the drivers their due in terms of acknowledging their athleticism.

I was going to comment on golf above too but I figured people understood how much coordination, strength, fine muscular control, mental toughness, and skill golf takes...
Look at golfers who suffer injuries of one sort or another and how it impacts their game and then tell me it's not physical.

When I think of finely tuned athletes, I don't think of fat ass middle aged golfers.

I think a lot of you don't really understand Nascar or auto racing in general. It is MUCH more physical than you realize, and it takes a great deal more hand-eye coordination than most realize too.
I really don't care for NASCAR or any car racing in general, but I do know it takes a lot from the driver. I make no mistake about what they put into it. But, there are so many people in this country that consider themselves above southerners and think of this as a redneck activity because they are really the stupid ones.

What about fatass middle aged boxers?
Obviously there's a pretty large amount of variation in what we all think of as "athleticism".
Have you ever golfed? And I mean on a real golf course, not some chip & put par 3 course or miniature golf.
