also they don't even treat Japanese Americans or Japanese of other countries well LOL. once anyone who leaves japan and isn't japanese any more for more than a generation. they been trying to get rid of Japanese Brazilians that they imported in for cheap labor to go back to Brazil.
my sister in law goes back to Japan and spends a few months at a time there to keep from being viewed as an outsider, she basically buys her continued acceptance.

UK or Australia. Don't really want to deal with learning a new language.

First choice would be England.
Second choice would be Greece.
Third choice would be Cyprus.

I hear good things about Vancouver. I'd go anywhere where marijuana was legal and cheap, where there was a big city close by, and where the view was nice.
I'm tired of the right wing fascist American government and the dim witted people, America is so over rated. Mostly by Americans.

Honestly Jezza, I wouldn't buy it if I were you. People like to paint the picture they want. How many times have you had a co-worker start a problem, and afterwards they are SURE the boss is just being mean to them? It happens all the time, like at-least-once-a-day-in-every-work-environment-anywhere all the time. The stray person telling you to get out of their country is probably comparable to how often a Mexican would hear that in the states, and I wouldn't describe as hostile to foreigners at all. (not saying we are great, just saying there are many who are more likely to be nice to them) I want to say anecdotal evidence is rarely worth it's salt, but I am going to say it just straight never is. If you were to get a job in Japan, and they treated you poorly, could you honestly say you could have teh presence of mind to realize that crappy jobs happen in teh states often, so it's just as likely anywhere else? I think most people would jump to the odd factor out, it was just a japanese thing. I can't say I have had many jobs that I would describe as a typical american situation that gives you a good idea of what were like. It sounds like the people you know had bad experiences, and people just try to turn everything into a story with a narrative drive. It's rarely "this one time this one thing happened," and its usually "I have noticed this one trend that played out in this one situation"

Last time I checked, Canada is part of North America. Vancouver is in Canada...

I'd go to Japan cause I know the language, Ireland because I can nearly understand them, or Vietnam because the food is the best.
