The series is awesome, I am loving it. Those of you who don't "get it" just won't ever get it and I am not interested in your opinions.
I hope Shane sticks around. He is the "id" of the group, and is a very "real" character IMO, much more real than Hershel, Rick, Dale, or even Daryl to be honest.

Yeah. Shane is mostly making the right calls. Few people would be able to. His only problem is he's hung up on the woman and thinks she's carrying his kid.

It would be a dumb move. Even with the extreme amount of emotion flying between those three, Rick will have to eventually face the fact that there is a very strong possibility, if not guaranteed, his wife and son would not have made it this far without Shane, same with the others in the group, except Otis of course, lol. Hopefully after Rick and Shane let off some steam in their previewed fight next episode, Rick will realize this fact and they can move on somehow.
Sad but true.
The show picked up a lot last night, I hope it continues.

Could always read the book. May not happen as fast but you'll know what will probably eventually happen.
Season two has been horrible. Last nights episode was better but it could be a 20 minute episode and you'd get the same story.

Just finished watching last night's episode...
WOW.
Listening to Lori whisper sweet 'KILL SHANE'S' in his ear at the end...
I really liked the episode. The fallout from the bar, Lori making out of the car alive...
I'm really curious where this is gonna go. Now that they saved that guy that got his leg impaled and wanna just send him on his way. FK THAT!
As slow as the first half of this season went, this second half of the season is looking pretty good so far.

They will split into a Rick Camp and a Shane Camp. It seems to be breaking down that way already. Question is will the producers kill one of them off before a serious split gets underway or will they let them all split up and see how that ends up.
Unless I missed something, Daryl's brother isn't exactly dead either....still waiting for him to show up with a giant monkey wrench.

Daryl's brother is a cat in a box. Im not hipster enough to spell it right so screw it - anyway...
Shane's character flaws will be what brings him down in the end; not only is he hungup on lori, but he has a history of letting his emotions guide his actions (ed at old camp, guns up on rick in woods, confrontation with dale, etc) While I'm not saying Rick is mentally equipped to "handle the new world" I wouldn't say Shane's psychological makeup fares him any better in the longrun.
