I'm sure the NHL will squirt all over themselves sending the Phoenix Coyotes to Seattle, but the NBA is not very likely to return to a city that could not hold on to the team they recently lost.

OMG, you guys are retarded.
First the Sonics were around for over 40 years. Second, it's not that seattle couldn't hold on to a team, it's that they weren't going to be strong armed by the NBA to build a stadium funded by public money. THIRD Seattle is the #13 market in the country, to say the NBA wouldn't want to come back here is laughable.

The sonics didn't leave because of crowd support. I know it's easiest to assume that is the case, but it is not. The Mariners excuse for lack of paying supporters is that they lose. Look at the Seahawks when they win. They sell out. When the M's win like last decade, they sell out. It's not a question of support.
