I hope you're not naive enough to think this doesn't happen. It's happened to me before. A group of three come in, buy a sh** load of food and alcohol. have to wait on them for 3 hours, I got a penny as a tip for a bill over $200.
That's why I quit. lol
Did they leave you a tip that said get a real job? If so...it worked! You should thank them!

This is why many restaurants have policies that if a bill is over so much that a mandatory gratuity is added to it.

When you pay by card you get in return 3 pieces of paper. One is a receipt of the transaction for the card. The other 2 are nearly identical:one you sign and leave and one you keep. My guess is this is the one that was kept and someone made a joke of it and took a picture. The blacked thru account numbers look to me like it was actually blacked out on the receipt tape itself.
EDIT-And though it says "Merchant Copy" there's not doubt in my mind you can sign and leave either one.
