if you go iPhone 4s you can tell it to call you rock god.

Siri is one of the reasons that I'm interested.

I just don't know how long it would remain interesting before it became an unused novelty.

hey don't buy iphone because one guy doesn't get iTunes updates?

Sorry man, you're wrong. The iOS4 update caused extensive problems with 3Gs. You should probably research stuff before you act like an idiot.

I had a 3G and had no problem with the update. Other people I know had no problem with the update. I think it's clear here who the idiot is.

Before the latest update my Droid X would randomly lose signal requiring me to put it into airplane mode and then back. A bug in the Android operating system.

No OS's are perfect.

You're correct, no OS will be perfect. However, given the standardized hardware that Apple works with, it's completely unacceptable to render MANY peoples' expensive phone fairly useless for months when the issues were things that should have easily been caught. Two situations here - either Apple didn't properly test their OS updates that they were pushing onto existing platforms (that's a BIG issue) or they rushed iOS4 out so they could sell the iPhone 4 and 3G people be damned. IMO, I like to watch the behavior of a company for the value of my money. Your choice, I'm just letting you know my experience.

I got a Galaxy Nexus.

It is an AWESOME phone.

ICS is incredible, and the phone itself can be unlocked and you can install whatever kernels/ROMs you want on it.

Any of the Galaxy family of phones is a good solid phone.

Android > Blackberry >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> iPhone

Blackberry is currently at the bottom of the market share.

they're crap and archaic.

That depends on if you fall in love with her or not.

Apple sued

Apple hammered with complaints

You're right, Apple pushed out an update 2 months later because nothing was wrong with it.

If I need to educate you, I'll do the easy way - I never put apps on the iPhone. You need to buy a license to do so, but they provide an emulator that you can run on an Apple computer for free. So now that your tactic of trying to imply it's me and not Apple has been shot down, I refer you again to the links. It's not like review sites were recommending people with 3G (and 3GS) to not update to iOS4. I'm just making all this up.

I don't have any problems installing their updates, so am not the one requiring education.
