Replace 10.00 keyboard with new 10.00 keyboard when it finally breaks. Buy new ones about 2-3 times a year.

This.

And mine are usually good for a year.

I found an easier keyboard to clean.

I use one of those microsoft ergonomic keyboards -- they are wonderful. One tiny bit of water though and they never work again. They are very bad that way.

If it is really dirty I recommend using a fireplace bellows or can of compressed air to blow the dirt through (it will collect on the bottom) and then use q-tips to clean the thing.

I've got one of those - the 4000 model. Daughter's friend knocked over his drink this week onto my keyboard and despite me taking out a bunch of the keys and drying it off it appears to be fried. It lasted a few years though, so I guess I can't complain.

That is another thing I like about the G series. They (the ones I have owned anyway) basically have a drip tray under the keys with holes that go through and out the bottom. You could probably get away with full on spilling something on it though I have never tried. I have however had drips and splashes hit it with no worries. Most commonly condensation off a cup which can be quite a bit.
