Either the OP is making a very poor attempt at a troll or he is all butthurt because someone on his team got punished for several dirty hits over the course of last season so he posts a link to a story that broke sometime Friday afternoon (I only heard about at 6:00pm or so yesterday on the radio and it was short on details) about something that happened with the Saints in 2009.

The Saints do need to be punished very severely for this, but that in no way excuses what your boy Suh did while playing for the Lions.

no the outrage is a product of the new commissioner trying to make a kinder/gentler nfl.

10 years ago big hits where big hits. flagrant after the whistle hits where called as it should be, but between the whistles that is a different story.

20-30 years ago players got knocked the fck out and it was amazing.

now days if the ball carriers helmet falls off the play stops. personally I think that should be a judgment call on the ball handler, if he wants to keep playing, well keep on trucking; if not then fall to the ground or run out of bounds.

so a breakdown of what they could get as an incentive for football plays without any actual injuries to go along with the is the same as what Suh did AFTER the whistle?

c'mon mforce, get real.

it IS garbage that there was this *program*, but it takes nothing away from Suh.

So what the OP is trying to say is that we should stop playing tackle football, and give all of those highly paid pussies some flags so all chances of injury are taken away.

I never said anything like that. There is a difference between playing the game and being paid to headhunt specific players. There is playing the game, and then there is intent to injure.

Look at Michigan/Ohio State. One of the most heated rivalries in all of sports. Those players HATE each other yet over the decades they have almost unanimously called it one of the cleanest games they ever play in because their pride is at stake. They want to win when both teams are at their best and they don't pull any cheap plays against each other.

You didn't even read what I said. I can't debate with someone who doesn't want to read. I'm not hurt and I NEVER excused what Suh did. Not once. I even said that he DID deserve to be punished, lol. You're a simpleton and a joke.

Jesus, I cannot believe how many people aren't even bothering to read. None of you have any idea wtf you're talking about, lol.

I NEVER excused what Suh did. I NEVER said it takes anything away from Suh. What part of "rightly punished by the league" is defending him?

You're all idiots.

who brought up Suh?
who asked if this bounty (TALK) with no proof of payouts nor associated injuries is worse than Suh?

that would be YOU mforce.

guess you also must have been referring to yourself when you called everyone idiots.

if you dont want comparisons, DONT START THEM!

Perhaps the OP should let the NFL determine the punishment for the Saints before getting indignant about it.

I think we lost focus in this thread. We can all agree that at least Suh being a cheap shot artist, Mforce being mforce, and the entire Saints defense putting bounties on people, is better then being a giant cry baby like Jay Cutler.

I dont see a problem at all with bounties as long as the hits are still clean. I dont want to see guys under a pile trying to gouge out eyes or twist an ankle or purposefully go for a players knee but if its just a clean hit that is hard enough to knock a qb out for a game then i dont see any problem with giving him a bonus. but its all in how its done, if its within the rules type of hit ok, if its maliciously intended to injury while breaking the rules of tackling then im against it. i realize its impossible to have bounties with people still respecting the rules because the rules are there to stop injuries and bounties are there to reward causing them. still I dont see anything wrong with say ray lewis putting a hit on a WR that comes over the middle and taking him out for the game and getting a small stack of cash for it. if its clean its clean give him his money because they certainly need something to balance out all those fines for "dirty" hits which are mostly fine anyway.
