Surprised no one else has posted this yet. The Suh hate came just minutes after he stomped the Packers lineman. You were all so appalled at the actions of Suh, where are you now? Come on, haters! Get your pitchforks! SURELY this is even more heinous, right?

NFL: Saints defense had 'bounty' fund

NEW YORK -- New Orleans Saints players and at least one assistant coach maintained a bounty pool of up to $50,000 the last three seasons to reward game-ending injuries inflicted on opposing players, including Brett Favre and Kurt Warner, the NFL said Friday. "Knockouts" were worth $1,500 and "cart-offs" $1,000, with payments doubled or tripled for the playoffs.

The NFL said the pool amounts reached their height of $50,000 or more in 2009, the year the Saints won the Super Bowl.

The league said between 22 and 27 defensive players were involved in the program and that it was administered by defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, with the knowledge of coach Sean Payton.

The investigation by the league's security department determined that an improper "pay for performance" program included "bounty" payments to players for inflicting injuries on opposing players that would result in them being removed from a game.

In some cases, the amounts pledged were both significant and directed against a specific opposing player, according to the league's investigation. Four former Redskins players, including defensive end Phillip Daniels, told The Washington Post that Williams had a similar system while serving as the Redskins' defensive coordinator.

Not really sure why this is much of a story aside from them getting caught. From what I heard from players all day on ESPN radio this is pretty common place for all the teams.

We all already know Suh is a dirty player compared to even this.

lol, equal treatment disgusts you but targeting players and paying based on the severity of their injuries does not. You're funny people.

A Lions fan making excuses for Suh? Why I never.

Your blatant bias is showing.

You're TOO quick to troll man, lol. That's your problem. You can't see my name, "Suh", and then jump on me for a claim I never made. It's like some kind of trolling false start. You have to let the thread develop a little and try to bait it out of me.

I'm not making any excuses for what Suh did. I never have. It was wrong, it was disgusting behavior, and he was rightly punished by the league for it.

Ronsac, I never said this changes what he did. I brought his name up because of the way everyone "wtfomg"'d what he did minutes after he did it, yet here is a team-wide (and possibly league-wide) conspiracy to pay players for targeting certain players that is receiving no attention (here). I'm asking where all those people went.
