I've got a Honda Shadow, because I don't have the time or money to keep a same year Harley running.
They're nice, but lots of upkeep.

Never owned a Harley.
Never wanted too.
Not my scene, but know plenty of really good people who are into it. I'm more of a BMW or Triumph kind of guy...not to mention Kawa"goddamn"saki, best bikes, best price, best everything except image with the masses.

to be honest, I'm looking at a low end harley because I love the way they look, it's cheap, and gets better gas mileage than my V6 car. lol

i fully agree there.
low end and simple is what i almost bought.
honestly i dont know the upkeep cost, but i dont know a single person (20 or so at work and 5 close friends) that owns one that does NOT bitch about the time and cost in the shop.
