I heard about 20 seconds about this issue on the radio the other day.
My first thought was "Well duh".
Not like this hasn't been going on since forever, I remember a bit of an uproar back in the 70's about it. It was brought up in the NHL a few times over the past couple of decades as well.
Not endorsing or excusing it, just saying.... why the hell is everyone acting so surprised?
Any coach involved is going to get smacked down hard. Williams in particular is probably going to get booted from his job and get a ban from the NFL for a period of time. There will be endless committee meetings, wouldn't surprise me if congress started it's own investigation (not like they have anything important to do), there will be a flurry of lawsuits from ex-players no one remembers, and then it will go away....only to pop up again in 10 or 15 years, just like always.
The same could be said regarding video taping other teams, even Tony Dungy said roughly the same thing.
The reason it hasnt blown up is because its not a hated team, its not a current championship team, and the media has yet to jump on the overhype bandwagon,
If it was Giants players saying this was going on, would anyone care or call for them to lose their championship? I highly doubt it.
But if it was the Pats, people would be crying foul again.
So the real question is.... How much money did Bernard Pollard make for ruining Brady's season on the first game back in '08??

Watch me turn the stones. That evil comes out.
And why would I set it free? It always comes back to me.
That evil is the only thing that always comes back to me.
