I know this may be news to you, but babies sleep when adults are awake.

I know that, because a) Im not an idiot and b) I have looked after very young children and babies before.

I never said i thought that was the case, so what relevance does it have to the current conversation?

because you assume that if you are on different floors that it is because you are sleeping on different floors.

Since baby's bedtime is before adults but after darkness, then it is safe to assume that adults may not be on the same floor as the baby.

but maybe your motherly instincts will make you hover and watch the child all the time that you are awake.

You misconstrued what i was saying. I was saying specifically that no parent would put their child to bed downstairs and then go upstairs and spend THE WHOLE NIGHT on a separate floor from their baby. If the baby was asleep upstairs and i was downstairs because it was too early to go to bed, i would not be afraid to go upstairs and check on the baby. I never said i would be. This thing only seems to manifest downstairs, and since nobody is stupid enough to have their baby sleep downstairs all night by themself, it wouldnt be an issue for me.

You just decided to assume that i thought parents and kids were always on the same floor of the house together, which i already said in a previous post that i knew that wasnt the case.

Think logically sooz. If there's a supernatural entity in your house, what hope do you have to hold it off if it was intent on hurting you?

There's no sense in worrying if you have no power and no control over external forces.

We sleep on the same floor as River, but why would you think all parents need to sleep on the same floor as their child? Does the physical location change their sleep?

No, it's just easier to hear if something is wrong and to go to them. Plus its a safety thing. I would not leave my child alone on the ground floor all night in case someone broke in or something. I think now you know exactly what im saying and you're just being glib for the sake of trolling.

So you're saying that if somebody broke in, your infant baby would be in danger on the ground floor but would be perfectly safe on the top floor, because we all know intruders have a fear of stairs?

You've displayed a complete lack of rational thought in this thread

What kind of idiot would leave a baby alone downstairs at night?
