I have epilepsy, and I get seizure flare-ups when I have sinus infections/colds...and I've had a sinus infection for almost 2 weeks now. Went to the ENT doc on Monday and she told me to double dose on my nasal spray (veramyst and patanase), and the last time I was using them regularly, I started having little mini seizures (almost fully aware, just like I'm seeing the world from the 3rd person for about 30 seconds).

so it's happened today a few times, and while having one I picked up a pair of scissors and cut the cord to my headset in half lol. Oddly enough, I remember being happy when I did it, and I remember cutting it, I just don't know why I did it lol. Gonna see if I can wire it back together and electrical tape it up tomorrow I guess, or I will have to revert back to an older headset. and definitly going to stop the nasal sprays and just stick with the augmentin she gave me...i looked up drug interactions with it all and the patanase had one with my seizure med, but it hasn't been a problem before until the last time I got it refilled..wonder if they made a bad batch or something.

grr...all I got to say it, be thankful you don't have epilepsy, because not being able to control your mind REALLY sucks....although I know we have a few others here with it.

Mmm. College roommate my senior year had epilepsy. Had to clean up after him more than once.

His was sleep-triggered (lack thereof), and he was a horrible alcoholic, so I'm not surprised he had a couple in the short time he was there. One time he fell on the floor and split his head wide open. Had to clean and bandage him up. He barely remembered what had happened the next day.

yeah my sister had epilepsy from the time she was 16 or so when she was diagnosed with it. She took phenobarbital up until she got married(at 35) but she didnt want to take it after she got married cause it made her really drowsy and almost impossible to wake her up after she took it. She wanted to have kids and she couldnt be knocked out all night with a small child. She finally went to the doc tho and he gave her some new meds that didnt make her sleepy and it all turned out well. It was kind freaky though cause she was a teacher and during the school year she would always take her meds but during the summer she would slip alittle and not take them for aa few days and she would start start to have jerks and twitches. It scared the crap outta me sometimes.

My aunt had epilepsy and the first time I saw a seizure when I was a kid I about freaked out. My parents had to explain to me what epilepsy was and what happened to her when she would have a seizure. Somehow hers would get triggered by low blood sugars -- maybe it wasn't epilepsy but something else that's similar??

Geeze Arch, didn't know (or forgot about reading) that you suffer from seizures. I've seen a few and they are scary (working in an arcade and seeing first time seizures from people who didn't know flashing screens affected them that way.)

Take care, and hope you can fix that headset.
