I played a little bit of 1 but never finished.
I think I played a little bit of 2 but if I did not much.
So I don't know if I should bother with 3 since I don't know/remember any of the story or anything? Should I play 1 and 2 first or is 3 so much better I should just jump to it? I guess not knowing the story doesn't bother me too much as long as I can follow along for the most part.

Heh, that said I dunno if I would even bother playing it if I wasn't following the story.

I think I liked the story when I played 1, but there was some reason I'm forgetting why I stopped playing it that had nothing to do with the game. Got too busy or something. So if I picked it up again I might really enjoy it.

Your reputation sucked then, preventing you for doing the Paragon Choice where they make peace and sing khoombaya.
Legion dies either way though 
Anyways, you need 4 full points of Paragon to get peace between them and that is pretty hard at this point unless you have been doing all the side missions and such.

WHAT?! haha i have paragon points. i'm way more renegade than paragon though. *sigh* well i'll do it on my paragon character next go and see if i can't save both of them.

WHAT?! haha i have paragon points. i'm way more renegade than paragon though. *sigh* well i'll do it on my paragon character next go and see if i can't save both of them.
Just make sure you do all the side missions possible AS you do priority missions. That is what I have been doing and I am way ahead in paragon points before I get to the missions.

well i missed a lot of stuff this go. i've been playing it at night when stoned and making poor decisions on when to do things.  but no worries. i plan on playing it like 13 more times so i'll have at least one perfect play through.

If you want to get a head start on those go find these or that item side quests, just go scan each system and get a 100% loot rate. So that away when one of those side quests open up, you all ready have the item to turn in.

i haven't figured out how to get more than 1 scan off before the reapers show up and chase me out of the system entirely. there's one side quest i can't even do because the reaper ships are literally waiting for me at the relay.

then I dont know I can usually get 3-4 scans and then I just run circles scanning and leaving system to locate objects and then return later to loot. I can outrun reaper ships when scanning.
I dont know if it matters but I had a fully upgraded Normandy at the end of ME2.
I noticed I had codex entries for new armor,shielding,weapons and mass effect core, when I started up ME3.

well i did that on one of the systems you ahve to jump to then fly to and the reapers showed up in that system, obviously, after i scanned and picked stuff up. then i fled to the relay having system and they chased me down and out there too. but seriously there's one system where 4 reaper ships are on top of the relay and i can't get into it w/o instant game over.

the reaper things should reset though every time you do a mission with your party. that's how i've managed to get a lot of my scans. if you are out of missions to do though that could be a problem
