background: back in HS, one of my friend's family was hosting a foreign exchange student from France. My friends mother wanted us to take him on a whale watch so she paid our tickets.
While we were on the watch, there was a seagull flying about 5 feet above the rail at the back of the boat. People had gathered around and were all googling over him and how impressed they were that it could keep up and the beauty of nature and all that. There was even a guy video taping it.
So we walk up to the crowd and my friend takes out a devil dog and whips it at the seagull. It was direct hit, and the devil dog smeared all over it knocking him off his course and causing it to turn around once it regained it's balance.
the whole boat turned to us and booed.
I would have applauded. I hate seagulls...flying rats that crap all over everything.

What's more astounding is the people gathering to watch (and film) it!
Like 1000000000000 of 'em and they're the most annoying things...you'd have to PAY ME to stand there and watch a seagull...
Accident's right. Flying vermin.

Lucky... i'd love it if we had them here, but we just dont.
As for their calls, i find it to be quite relaxing. It's a sound that holds a lot of good memories, so i'll always love it. And when they laugh it kills me every single time.

Come to think of it, I may have done rats a disservice here. Rats are cute and intelligent and make good pets. Seagulls...not so much.
