Those big black lifeless eyes staring down at you from the trees, taunting you, watching you...
and when you put the peanuts you were snacking on down for a moment they sneak up behind you and steal them.

My dad had an on going war with them over the contents of his bird feeder in the back yard, lol. They are crafty bastards and don't give up easily.

Feeders with a weight triggered spinning perch are the only effective way. They're a lot more expensive but now that seed prices are up, they pay themselves off in no time.

I leave birdseed below the bird feeder which is right in front of the windows of my porch. this allows for the birds, squirrels, and chipmunks as well as bunnies to come eat and my cats get to watch ALL of them.
