Just to give you an idea...the "official" brand website of this machine says not to make "more than 30 snowcones" in one day.
All we had to do is dump ice from the ice machine into the hopper and flip the switch. It's kind of like a blender on "pulse". The on button only stays on as long as your finger is on it, but that's ok. Means it won't get stuck in the on position.
If you don't have the cup up to it just right it will SPEW snow/shaved ice everywhere, but I was prepared for that based on the reviews I read. It was really easy to figure out how to hold the cup up to it so that it made no mess.
It also came with four bottles of flavoring ready to go, and four bottles of flavor concentrate that have to be mixed with sugar water before pouring on the snow cones.
And it made the snow cones FAST. It is very very loud, but you're shaving ice, so I kind of expected that.
As long as it keeps it up, I will have no complaints at all.

Oooooo and one of the reviews I read said they made a bunch of shaved ice ahead of time for a school party and kept it in coolers or a freezer or something and it was perfect when they served it. Tomorrow morning I am going to make myself a HUGE tupperware container of shaved ice to bring into work and put in the freezer, that way I can have shaved ice at work anytime without needing my snow cone machine right there with me. Yippee!!

You bet! I figured...$200 really isn't bad for the abuse I'm going to put one of these through, and with the reviews it already got I was confident in the quality, which means a lot. The cheaper ones really just seemed to be cheap plastic junk and nothing more than a crap-shoot.
Plus would I rather spend $200 now and save my teeth and new crowns, or spend thousands of dollars later needing to get them fixed? Viewed that way it was kind of a no-brainer.
