Yes, in several states it is still required for varying degrees of burglary that the entering be done at night. There are lesser degrees of burglary that do not have a time of day element. In no case whatsoever is larceny a requirement for a burglary.

Wrong. While it is true in very few states, it isn't for all states. Therefore your overall definition is wrong.
